My grandmother gave me the money to buy this on my summer vacation in Germany in 1969 when we were in Timmendorf for two weeks at a tiny little store that had 2 bins of records (probably the ONLY place in Timmendorf that had records). In retrospect I probably should have bought the boxed set version of the Bee Gees Odessa that they had for sale but instead I bought Pop Sound 70 and this one here. What a great album cover. What a great album. Upon returning to Los Angeles that September I immediately purchased the Tea Company, Daughters Of Albion, Linn County, Mesmerizing Eye and HP Lovecraft albums because of this sampler.; 25. I could tell tons of similar stories about my record purchases (not to mention the stories from my own record shoppe (long gone), but I'm simply too lazy for it. And so I leave you with the information, that I have two more Mercury Sampler in the works: "Electric Food" and "It's About Time", which will be done probably by next week or so.; 26.
