What a forgotten Gem, I love this LP!
A rare and wonderful moment in time,
good vibrations surfing the crest of a great wave!
Thank you so much,
a much-deserved upgrade as well! :)
where is the download link?
Hi Doug,
it's http://www75.zippyshare.com/v/5mtRkGca/file.html or just click on "Original LP 1968" (right beneath the rear cover).
Mike's Debut Lp! Recorded in November 1967 and issued April '68,it eas created at RCA Studios during a 3 Day Marathon recording session, where Food & Wine were served, done by Chasson's,a French Caterer service! The more the session people ate & Drank,Nez himself wrote in the 2008 liners, the worst they'd played! Finally,on the last track "Don't Call On Me" Tommy Tedesco, the Guitarist, took His Guitar off,and threw it up in the air, hence the "CLOP!" You hear at its end!
Hi Michael,
thanks for these funny details. Nevertheless I always liked this record, which has some peculiar charm to me. Your story could explain, why it has this effect on me.
Many thanks for Michael Nesmith, whom I have unfortunately never taken seriously due to his involvement with the Monkees.
In the meantime, however, through his activities as a music producer, author and singer, he distinguishes himself as a true multi-talent, thank you very much for this real treasure!
Hello!
What a terrific site. I found it while searching for a link to this very album. In our Papa Nez (RIP) is there any chance you could re-post this? Haven't heard it in ages, and I'd specifically love to download a rip of the original vinyl (Later CD issues were changed a bit, as I understand it). The original mix was a delight!
Thank you so much, if you can kindly oblige!
