Vielen Dank für Claude Thornhill, kann nicht oft genug darauf hingewiesen werden, dass er mit seinem speziellen Sound stilbildend gewesen ist beim Übergang vom Bebop hin zum Cool Jazz.
Und wenn man liest, mit wem er alles zusammengearbeitet hat (Gerry Mulligan, Gil Evans), dann kann man sich vorstellen, wie bedeutsam sein Wirken gewesen sein muss.
